Advantages of High Strength and Hardness

After high-temperature forging, the internal crystal structure of forgings is effectively improved, thereby increasing the overall mechanical strength. This enhancement is reflected not only in tensile strength but also in compressive strength, yield strength, and other aspects. At the same time, forged workpieces also acquire higher hardness values, meaning they are more resistant to external impact or wear. This characteristic provides strong assurance for the application of forgings in high-load working environments.

 

Excellent Wear Resistance

Compared to other castings or steel materials of the same specifications, forgings have significantly reduced surface roughness and fewer pores. This is because the forging process allows the metal's fibrous structure to continuously extend and interweave, forming a dense network of fibrous tissue. This microstructural adjustment not only improves the overall rigidity of the workpiece but also helps to improve its wear resistance at the contact surface. Therefore, in many applications requiring high wear resistance, forgings are one of the preferred materials.

In addition to the two main characteristics mentioned above, forgings also possess high plasticity and excellent toughness. This allows them to be easily shaped into complex products, meeting diverse design requirements.
