Description
Product Overview

The GX40CrNiSi25-12 Alloy Cast Steel Bracket (numeric designation 1.4837) is a high-performance load‑bearing component engineered for medium‑to‑high temperature service in oxidizing and mildly corrosive atmospheres. Manufactured to DIN EN 10295, this high‑chromium‑nickel‑silicon heat‑resistant cast steel forms a dense and stable chromium oxide scale under oxidising conditions, providing excellent resistance to scaling and spalling, combined with good thermal‑cycling endurance and adequate hot strength.

The typical chemical composition is: Chromium (Cr) 24–27%, Nickel (Ni) 11–14%, Silicon (Si) 1–2.5%, Carbon (C) 0.30–0.50%, with strictly controlled phosphorus and sulphur. This balanced alloy design delivers:

  • Superior oxidation resistance – Chromium and silicon work synergistically to protect the material against scaling up to 1000–1050°C in continuous oxidising environments.
  • Good structural strength at elevated temperatures – Moderate carbon content ensures sufficient load‑bearing capacity for medium‑duty hot sections.
  • Thermal shock resistance – Withstands intermittent heating and cooling cycles without premature cracking.
  • Sulphur‑containing atmosphere tolerance – Suitable for coal‑fired, oil‑fired and waste‑incineration applications where sulphur attack is a concern.

Compared with conventional grades such as 1.4848 (HH) or 1.4852 (HT), GX40CrNiSi25‑12 offers a more cost‑effective nickel content while utilising silicon to boost oxidation resistance – making it an economical yet reliable choice for supporting structures where anti‑scaling performance is paramount.

Full Dimensional & Geometric Customisation

  • Size range – from small connecting brackets weighing a few kilograms to large heavy‑duty support frames weighing several tonnes.
  • Structural forms – L‑shaped, U‑shaped, flat, box‑type, and non‑standard complex geometries, all produced to your engineering drawings.
  • Wall thickness optimisation – using FEA to optimise section transitions, reduce stress concentrations and minimise weight.
  • Tolerance control – casting tolerances can meet CT9–CT12; machining allowances can be left on critical mating faces and finished to exact dimensions.

Integrated Post‑Processing & Inspection

  • Heat treatment – stress‑relief annealing or solution annealing available to eliminate residual stresses and stabilise microstructure.
  • Surface finishing – as‑cast, shot‑blasted (Sa2.5), ground, or coated with high‑temperature anti‑corrosion paint.
  • Non‑destructive testing (NDT) – penetrant (PT), magnetic particle (MT), radiography (RT) and ultrasonic (UT) inspection offered to guarantee internal integrity.
  • Machining services – equipped with gantry mills, vertical lathes and CNC machining centres for precision machining of mounting faces, bolt holes, locating slots, etc.

Our Core Strengths

01

Multi‑Process

Capability

We offer a complete range of casting processes – including green sand, resin‑bonded sand, investment (lost‑wax), centrifugal, and bi‑metal composite techniques – so we can select the most suitable method for your bracket's geometry, dimensional accuracy, and order quantity. This flexibility ensures the optimal balance between quality and cost, whether you need small precision connectors or large heavy‑section supports.

02

Vertically Integrated Manufacturing

All key production steps – from electric‑arc furnace melting and on‑site spectrographic analysis, through pouring, fettling, heat treatment, to final machining – are performed under one roof. This complete in‑house control guarantees consistent material compliance, full traceability, and competitive lead times, while our inspection equipment (spectrometer, universal tester, metallurgical microscope, MPI/UT) ensures every casting meets your specified requirements.

03

Decades of Experience & Technical Expertise

Our core team has over 20 years of hands‑on experience in heat‑resistant steel casting, especially in handling high‑Cr and high‑Si grades – with proven know‑how in feeding, crack prevention and gas‑porosity control.
