Main Factors to Consider in Material Selection
When selecting heat-resistant steel from among many options for use in cement plant operating conditions, the following factors must be considered comprehensively:
(1) The operating temperature of the heat-resistant steel casting. Operating temperature refers to the maximum temperature, normal temperature, minimum temperature, and the rate of temperature change.
(2) The mechanical load borne by the heat-resistant steel casting.
(3) The gases and conditions (including wind speed, dust content, and chemical composition) that the heat-resistant steel casting comes into contact with.
(4) The price should be low; use heat-resistant cast steel with lower chromium and nickel content whenever possible, instead of those with higher chromium and nickel content.
