The RTCr16 Custom Cast Water-Cooled Grate is a high-performance heat-resistant cast iron component. It is specifically engineered for demanding combustion environments and is suitable for municipal solid waste incinerators, biomass power plants, coal-fired boilers, cement kilns, and industrial furnace systems. This water-cooled grate bar is manufactured using precision sand casting technology combined with high-chromium heat-resistant cast iron material, delivering exceptional service life in high-temperature, high-wear operating conditions.
As one of the core components in mechanical grate incinerator systems, our RTCr16 cast water-cooled grate supports fuel or waste while maintaining combustion airflow, and is capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, corrosive flue gases, ash, slag, and thermal cycling.

Superior Heat Resistance – Up to 900°C
RTCr16 water-cooled grates maintain structural integrity and mechanical properties at operating temperatures up to 900°C (1,652°F) . The high chromium content (15-18%) promotes the formation of a stable, adherent chromium oxide scale that prevents further oxidation and metal loss. Unlike ordinary cast iron grades that deform or oxidize rapidly above 500°C, our RTCr16 casting grates provide reliable long-term performance in high-temperature combustion zones.
Outstanding Wear & Abrasion Resistance
RTCr16 heat-resistant iron exhibits exceptional wear resistance both at room temperature and elevated temperatures, making it ideal for handling high-ash fuels such as biomass, coal, and municipal solid waste (MSW) with abrasive characteristics.

Built-in Water Cooling Cavity – Extended Service Life
Our water-cooled grate bars feature an integral cast-in water cooling cavity (or pre-embedded cooling tubes), engineered to reduce grate bar surface temperature significantly. According to patented casting water-cooled grate technology:
- Surface temperature reduced to below 250°C compared to traditional uncooled designs

The internal water cavity allows cooling water circulation, which minimizes thermal stress, prevents thermal fatigue cracking, and eliminates high-temperature creep deformation common in uncooled grate bars.
